At Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, if you’re a birder it’s a great time of year to visit the Pungo Unit and fields. On recent outings visitors have spotted large flocks of Tundra Swan, Snow Geese and a variety of ducks. Some refuge roads are undeveloped. Especially after wet weather chooses the roads you use carefully.
