BUDDING ARTISTS: Congratulations to two superstar artists at Care-O-World Enrichment Center who drew the winning art for this year’s Children’s Parade and Festival T-shirt design for Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for Children. Dalilia (left) and Vania (right) are pictured with the Partnership’s Executive Director Lisa Woolard and their winning designs. The event takes place in downtown Washington and Festival Park on the waterfront on April 26. Children, early educators, families and community leaders will join the Partnership in painting the town blue by wearing blue T-shirts in support of child abuse prevention month in April. The parade takes place at 10 a.m., with the festival immediately following. The Partnership invites community members to join this movement in support of young children by purchasing a blue T-shirt or wearing a blue shirt on April 26 to send the message that all children deserve to be happy, healthy and safe! The organization is also seeking sponsors for the T-shirt in order to offset the cost of the shirt so that it may be offered at a reduced price to families with young children.
