Drug unit makes trafficking arrest

On March 21, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Paul Dildy, 57, of 521 E. Ninth St., Washington, Sandra Foreman, 36, of 521 E. Ninth St., Washington, and William Branch, 21, of 52 Berts Farm Road, Chocowinity.

Dildy was charged with trafficking in opiates and possession with intent to sell and deliver oxycodone a schedule II controlled substance. Foreman was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver oxycodone a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Branch was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from investigators receiving complaints of drug activity occurring at 521 E. Ninth St., Washington. Investigators started conducting surveillance and made several controlled purchases of oxycodone pills from Dildy. Investigators executed a search warrant at 521 E. Ninth St. and found crack cocaine packaged for resale, marijuana packaged for resale, oxycodone and morphine pills.

Dildy and Branch were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond. Foreman was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.

 

Marijuana purchases net arrest

On March 16, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested William Lawrence LaBarge, 24, of 2838 Woodstock Road, Belhaven. LaBarge was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. LaBarge’s arrest stemmed from investigators making purchases of marijuana from LaBarge. LaBarge was released on a $15,000 secured bond.

 

 

 

 

Traffic stop turns up cocaine

On March 27, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested James Darnelle Freeman, 28, of 601 W. Ninth St., Washington, and Tavon Tarese Williams, 21, of 217 W. Fifth St., Washington.

Freeman was charge with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. Williams was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of keeping or selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from investigators conducting a traffic stop on vehicle reported to be involved in the delivery of cocaine. Freeman was the passenger of the vehicle and was immediately arrested for an active trafficking in cocaine warrant and probation violation. Investigators conducted a search of Freeman and the vehicle. Investigators found powder cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana packaged for resale.

Freeman was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $92,000 secured bond. Williams was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $32,500 secured bond.
