John Edward Taylor, age 88, of Pinson, Alabama, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, surrounded by family. John is survived by his wife, Faye, of 62 years. John was born in 1929 and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Fairfield Police Department after 27 years of service. He is a current member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery (at Deerfoot Parkway). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Deerfoot Baptist Church.
