Creswell to revive May Daze Festival May 4-5

The May Daze Creswell Artesian Festival is slated to return to downtown Creswell May 4 and 5.
The fun will begin with a gospel concert starting at 6 p.m. Friday at Creswell High School. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Vendors and food will be available on site.
Saturday’s activities (May 5) will begin with the Hugs Heal 5K Fun Walk/Run. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and participants step off at 8 a.m.
Following the 5k event vendors will be ready by 9 a.m. for early shoppers. “There will be multiple vendors with lots of items for purchase,” organizers said.
The Main Street parade starts 11 a.m.
Bands will begin playing at the festival at 1 p.m.
And the street dance begins at 6 p.m.
There will also be a kids’ corner with bouncy houses, face painting and lots of fun for the children.
Local medical centers and hospitals have been invited to offer free screenings and health materials for the community.
“We are thankful to our generous sponsors and for the community support we have received thus far, and we look forward to more community support for this eventful weekend as our goal is to bring life back to Creswell,” said an event organizer. “This will be a great weekend to enjoy the town of Creswell with lots of fun, food, and entertainment.”
