Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.



Beautiful and as sweet as her name, our tabby girl is very loving; she’ll engage you in conversation the minute she sees you! At approximately 3 years old, Honey is packed with plenty of personality, and she loves to be held, petted and showered with affection. Elegantly dressed in her American medium-hair coat of buff, honey colors and dark brown, a rosebud nose and pale green eyes, she’s a feast for the eyes. This adorable, 5-year-old Pomeranian-Standard Poodle mix is just as cute as can be, and she’s already spayed and ready to go home with you, right after her reduced fee is paid. Lucy, a friendly, smart dog that loves to be loved and fussed over, is a medium-size girl with warm, brown, heart-melting eyes, a soft, blonde coat and a delightful personality. She will make a wonderful pet, companion and confident in a variety of good, loving, forever home settings. Lucy’s ID is No. 0446.
