Margaret went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2018, at the age of 99 years. She was born to the late Henry and Mamie Garrish on Oct. 17, 1918, in Scranton, N.C..
Margaret worked for Batchelder & Collins in Norfolk, Virginia, for 30-plus years. Over the years she enjoyed cooking, sewing, square dancing and playing cards. She and her late husband, Humphrey, traveled with the Airstream Trailer Club.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Humphrey Brinn; son Lindon Brinn, Sr., grandson Lindon (Linnie) Brinn, Jr.; great-grandson Lindon (Doug) Brinn, III; great- grandson Nicholas Rosso; siblings Minnie Sharber, Myron Garrish and Cottie Williams.
Margaret is survived by her granddaughters, Pam Fox (Keith), of Florida, and Robin Brinn (Carl), of Chesapeake, Virginia; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. She will be greatly missed.
A chapel service will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, a reception following at Robin Brinn’s. Family and friends are invited to share memories and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
