Blue crabs have returned, and Tyrrell County’s most remote access to the Alligator River is at Grapevine Landing in Gum Neck, from which crabbers reach the upstream parts of the river and Grapevine Bay, 13 miles south of the U.S. 64 bridge and opposite the Dare County Bombing Range.
