Optimist Club prepares for soccer camp, donates to sports complex

The Optimist Club of Washington met June 5 at 7 p.m. Patty Peebles called the meeting to order. Discussion included upcoming Soccer Camp June 18-21 as a fundraiser for WHS soccer teams.  WHS Coach Kozuch will lead the camp with WHS soccer players and alumni.

Camp starts at 6 p.m. each evening and registration is open online up until the first night of camp. Thursday night is watermelon night. The registration for Camp is $60.  During the camp time the Optimist Club will take payments for the Fall Soccer League registrations.

Fall soccer player registration is $50. Registration is online at www.optimistclubwashington.org.  Payment can be made online or in person the week of camp. Fall soccer registration ends on June 30.  Sponsor letters have been mailed to past Fall Soccer team sponsors. Team sponsorship is $250.

Anyone who would like to sponsor a team may contact us at optimistclub@gotricounty.com. We appreciate the support of all our sponsors who help us to keep the cost down for our players. Buddy Baker and Patty Peebles were recognized by the Optimist district with gift cards for bringing in new members.  The Washington Club was recognized for Achievement and Awards in the District from Daniel Durham.
