Chesapeake — Sherial Lee Brinn, 79, peacefully moved on to his next chapter at his home in Summerville, South Carolina, on May 30, 2018.

Born April 27, 1939, in Beaufort County, he lived in North Carolina and Virginia before moving to South Carolina.

Sherial proudly served four years aboard the U.S.S. KIDD before devoting most of his years to Brinn Landscaping Inc. He had a passion for the water and fishing; golfing; and spending time with friends and family. In recent years, he grew his true artistic nature by creating beautiful hand-carved wooden bowls; sharing them at the Charleston City Market every weekend evening.

Sherial loved his family and leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Nancy Brinn.

He is survived by four children, Joey Brinn of Washington, Kelly Houlihan (John), of Newsoms, Virginia, Lee Brinn (Beth) of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Lyle Brinn (Kate), of Norfolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, brother Gary Brinn (Kay), of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

Sherial was preceded in death by parents Edith and Murray Brinn, sisters Wanda and Emily, and brother C.F.

A family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that local acts of kindness, random or otherwise, be done in Sherial’s memory.
