Mrs. Shannon Renee Boyd Padgett, age 41, a resident of Washington, NC died Saturday July 14, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Shannon was born in Beaufort County on June 21, 1977 to James Lennion “Len” Boyd and Wanda Jean Edwards Boyd. She graduated from Chocowinity High School in 1995. On January 13, 1996 she married Wesley Brian Padgett. She was a hairdresser.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Padgett, of the home, a son Chase Padgett of Washington, a sister, Jaime Boyd and fiancé Jeremy Monette, of Greenville, her mother, Wanda Edwards Sapp, a sister-in-law, Kathy P. Deal and husband Eric, of Greenville, a nephew, Blake Monette and two nieces, Kelsey Padgett and Sarah Watson.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Lennion “Len” Boyd.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, July 16 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
