Mr. Cecil E. Woolard

Mr. Cecil Edward Woolard, age 95, a resident of Terrapin Track Road, Washington, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Elder Diego Amorocho and Minister Don Atkins.

The following will serve as pallbearers: David Woolard, Brandon Woolard, Nathan Woolard, Jon Riley, Vance Price and Joel Sutton.

Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on June 28, 1923. He was the son of the late David S. Woolard and Caddie Roberson Woolard. Mr. Woolard was a retired farmer and brick mason. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Woolard was a member of the Washington Seventh Day Adventist Church, Moose Lodge #1800 and V.F.W. Post #6088.

On December 29, 1953, Mr. Woolard married the former Eunice Waters, who preceded him in death, October 1, 2016.

Mr. Woolard is survived by his son, Glenn E. Woolard and wife, Carolyn of Siler City, N.C.; four grandchildren, David Woolard and wife, Kaitlyn, Brandon Woolard and wife, Rachel and their sons, Enoch, Elijah, and Ezra, Brittany Riley and husband, Jon, and their son, Amos, Nathan Woolard and wife, Julianna, and; and sister, Ramona Craig, of Washington; nephew, David Craig, niece, Amelia Sutton and her husband, Joel; and great niece, Stephanie.
