Mrs. Evelyn “Inez” Woolard, age 92, a resident of 764 Betsy Elbow Rd., Washington, passed away Saturday July 28, 2018 at her home.

A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Jonathan D. Woolard Cemetery on Betsy Elbow Rd., Washington and will be conducted by Marty Alligood. Kenneth Alligood, Rodney Alligood, Sterling Woolard, Bill Woolard, Michael Barnes and Michael Humphries will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Woolard was born April 30, 1926 in Beaufort County daughter of the late William Asa Woolard and Caroline Sawyer Woolard. She was a graduate of Bath High School. On April 7, 1947 she married John Brightman Woolard who preceded her in death on December 29, 1963.

Survivors include her children: Terry L. Woolard and wife Rita of Atlanta, GA, Sharon W. Rathbun and husband Rod of Washington and Danny Louis Woolard of Washington; her grandchildren: Don “Michael” Woolard, Jr. and wife Bobbie Jean, Jessica Kulp and husband Joseph and Daniel Woolard and wife Brittany; her great grandchildren: Don “Auston” Woolard, Samantha Barnes and husband Michael, Allie Jean Woolard and Olivia Evelyn Kulp; a very special niece and nephew: Josephine Woolard and Gary Perkins. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son: Don M. Woolard, Sr., her sisters: Clarice B. Woolard, Violet Estelle Evans and Pauline W. Perkins; her daughter-in-law: Thelma Woolard and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.
