Mrs. Rebecca Jane Spencer Wing, age 58, a resident of Greenville, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at the Care One Memory Care Facility of Kinston.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at St. James Episcopal Church of Belhaven officiated by Father Ray Souza. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Rebecca was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 20, 1959, daughter of the late Robert Earle Wing and the late Blair Fortescue Paul Wing. Following her graduation from high school, she continued her education at Warren Wilson College where she received her bachelor’s degree in arts. She studied graduate work in music at East Carolina University. On June 13, 2007, she married Archie Lowell Price, who survives. Rebecca had a compassionate spirit for animals and people. She traveled and volunteered helping the needy in Guatemala.

Surviving along with her husband, Archie, of the home, are two step-sons, Curtis Wayne Price and Justin Lowell Price, both of Anger; three sisters, Paula W. Klein and husband Billy, of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, Ann Wing of Acworth, Georgia, and Elizabeth Wing, MD and husband Robert Solomon, MD, of Murphey; 10 nieces and nephews; and many cousins, including Russell Paul, of Midlothian, Virginia, and Billie Mackey, of Belhaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made in Rebecca’s memory to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Dr., Greenville, NC 27834.
