Mrs. Evelyn Maree MacKenzie Ricks, age 84, a resident of 225 Shad Bend Drive, Washington, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center.

Mrs. Ricks was born May 7, 1934, in Spokane, Washington, to the late William and Violet MacKenzie. She was a 1951 graduate of Spokane High School, and on Dec. 18, 1952, she married J. Larry Ricks, who survives.

Along with her husband, survivors include two daughters, Anne Pokorski, Jenni Cannon; three sons, Tony Ricks, Monty Ricks, Jerry Ricks; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Bowman.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
