Photographed at Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis) is found on all regional national wildlife refuges. As a defense to warn off territorial threats the Green Anole will puff out its bright pink throat skin fan. Mature Green Anoles are 5 – 8 inches long.
