Ella Mae “Babe” Thomas, 90, of Grimesland, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at her home.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at noon, and the funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 4525 Mobley S. Bridge Road, Grimesland, NC 27837.

She is predeceased by parents Stephen and Argusta Crandle; son, Henry Thomas Jr.; two grandchildren, five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Donald, James, Hezekiah, Gene, Jason (Shero), Daniel and Danny Thomas; daughters Brenda, Virginia, Missy, Terri, Shannon and Jessica Thomas; sister Ruby Lee King; brothers John (Ada), Rufus (Carol) Crandle; sister-in-law Carrie Crandle; goddaughter Delois Daniels; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
