Insurance Commissioner Causey to visit Dare, Tyrrell fire stations, meet with insurance agents on Monday

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will visit fire departments and insurance agencies during a trip to Dare and Tyrrell counties on Monday, Aug. 27.

Commissioner Causey will listen to firefighters’ concerns and discuss the need for better volunteer recruitment and retention. He will also present a grant check totaling more than $20,000 to the Tyrrell Volunteer Fire Department.

During his 11 a.m. stop, he will meet with and listen to independent insurance agents’ concerns and discuss his efforts to modernize the insurance industry in the state. Commissioner Causey will also stop by the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center that assists senior citizens with helpful information about their Medicare benefits.
