Roger A. Baynor

Mr. Roger Anthony Baynor, age 64, a resident of Everett Community Road, Pinetown, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Everett’s Church of Christ, conducted by Dennis R. Davis. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Ernie Everett, Horace Waters, Gilbert Everett, William Everett, Rumley Everett and James Everett. Mark Woolard and Gary Windley will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Baynor was born in Beaufort County on July 16, 1954. He was the son of Mavis Dean Ambrose Mohorn and the late Theodore Hardin Baynor, Sr. Mr. Baynor worked in Quality Control at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation in Greenville. He was a member of Everett’s Church of Christ. In his spare time, Mr. Baynor enjoyed camping and attending family reunions.

On Nov. 27, 1982, Mr. Baynor married the former Terria Helen Willumsen, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mandy Ashford and husband David, of Florida; mother, Mavis Mohorn, of Pinetown; four grandchildren, Jordan Ashford, Mitchell Ashford, Felicity Ashford, Victoria Ashford; two brothers, Ted Baynor and wife Verma, of Pinetown, James Baynor, of Florida; and two stepsisters, Vicki Lewis and husband David, of Washington, Pat Windley and husband Gary, of Pinetown; a brother-in-law, Rodger Jefferson, of Bath; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Mr. Baynor was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Mohorn, and two sisters, Genia Faye Baynor and Sylvia Jefferson.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Everett’s Church of Christ and other times at his home.
