Mr. J. Nicholas Cox, age 36, a former resident of Vanceboro, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at his home.

A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2018, at the Salvation Army Chapel, 112 E. 7th St., Washington.

Mr. Cox was born Feb. 2, 1982, in Beaufort County to James “Jimmy” Hubert Cox, Jr. who survives and the late Dora Susan Gurley Cox.

Survivors include his father, James “Jimmy” Hubert Cox, Jr. and wife Susan of Blounts Creek, twin sons, Allen Cox and Ayden Cox; and his daughter, Erin Cox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 112 E. 7th St., Washington, NC 27889.
