DaShawn H. Hill, 17, of 1104 E. Geer St., Durham,  formerly of New Bern, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the St. John AME Zion Church Cemetery, “Turkey Quarter Community.” A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends at 3114 Kensington Park Drive, New Bern, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
