I know y’all love this cooler weather as much as I am!  I’m excited to see so many folks picking corn and hope the weather stays nice so everyone can get this crop in the bin.

Being the safety nut I am I just wanted to share a few reminders:

  • Be careful in those bins!  Gates County Extension put out this great video demonstrating how fast you can get into trouble in a grain bin.
  • Be safe on the roads.  Make sure you have a slow-moving vehicle sign visible on the on the back your tractor and/or implement.  If you are working at night be sure the lights are working properly on your equipment.
  • Look up and look out for power lines.
  • Get plenty of rest and slow down!  Accidents tend to happen because we are in a hurry.
  • Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

If you need anything, please let me know!

Happy Harvest,

Andrea
