According to Town Manager Lynn Davis and Mayor Ricky Credle, a number of water rescues have taken place throughout Belhaven overnight and this morning. Davis said on Friday morning that the Belhaven Police Department has relocated to Northside High School.
“It’s low tide, so it’s going down some compared to what it was earlier, but downtown is flooded more than it has in the past,” Credle said. “There are some people without lights and some that had them…we’re just seeing what it does and then we’ll put things back together.”
