Mrs. Frances “Pick” Hodges Meeks, 90, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Meeks, daughter of the late Samuel and Nettie Sutton Hodges, was a native and lifelong Pitt County resident. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Gloria Jean. She is survived by her: husband, David Meeks, of the home; son, Conney Meeks and wife, Becky, of Grimesland; grandson, Ben Meeks; special friend, Christina Urban; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
