Difficult to see, but fun to discover hidden in the photo, the excitement comes for birders just having the Lark Sparrow visit us. It summers in the Midwest and winters in Mexico and rarely shows up in North Carolina. This well-hidden bird was seen on Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge recently in August.
