Spring B. Perkins, 61, of Columbia was arrested for simple assault after Tyrrell County deputies responded at 7:30 p.m. on August 30 to a 911 call of an assault in progress on North Broad Street in Columbia, Sheriff Darryl Liverman reported. She was released on written promise to appear in court on September 12.
