Mr. Jim Harvey Satterthwaite, age 76, a resident of 445 Wilkinson Station Road, Pantego, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at Belhaven Community Cemetery officiated by Jim Bussell. Tyler Sawyer, Matthew Neal, Robbie Rouse, Johnny Joyner, Harry Nixon and Stuart Ricks will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the home.

Mr. Satterthwaite was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 1, 1942, son of the late Eustus Thomas Satterthwaite and Nettie Gertrude Nixon Satterthwaite. On Oct. 13, 1963, he married the former Peggy Ree Wallace who survives. He retired after 42 years of service with Tideland Electric in Pantego. Mr. Satterthwaite was a member of the Green Sea Hunting Club in Pantego.

Mr. Satterthwaite is survived by his wife, Peggy Satterthwaite, of the home; his daughters, Tammy S. Pugh and husband Charles, of Belhaven, and Amy S. Alligood, of Washington; his brothers, Bruce Satterthwaite and wife Grace, of Rocky Mount; his sister, Helen Satterthwaite, of Pantego; and three grandchildren, Kayla Alligood, Layla Brock and Jamie Lynn Daniels. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Guy Satterthwaite, Richard Satterthwaite, Earl Satterthwaite and Harry Satterthwaite; and his sister, Doris S. Johnston.
