Mrs. Dianna Lynn Williams Adams, age 68, a resident of Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Adams was born in Wake County on Jan. 22, 1950, to the late Leroy Williams and Dorothy Bell Weatherspoon Williams. On February 6, 2001, she married Harry Linwood “Butch” Adams, Jr. She retired as the Administrative Assistant to the Director in the Beaufort County Department of Social Services after 23 years of service. Mrs. Adams enjoyed her retirement, her trips to the mountains and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband Harry L. “Butch” Adams, Jr., of the home; a son, Theodore Cannefax and wife Kelly; a daughter, Gina Evans and husband Bryce; three grandchildren, Maddie Cannefax, Connor Cannefax, Vivian Evans; three sisters, Margie Roberts, Debbie Newcomb and husband Paul, Pat Smith and husband Greg; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Leroy Williams.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
