George Glenn Broome, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Sept. 9, 2018.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

Mr. Broome was a native of Aurora and the son of Walton A. Broome and Sarah Bonner Broome. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Broome Bowen, and four adult children and their spouses, including Scarlett Broome Gaddy (Kenneth), Silver Broome Eberly, Brandy Broome Sislow (Mike), and Bart S. Broome (Ronald). Mr. Broome also is survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a large extended family of friends and relatives.
