Mrs. Christine Marie Alligood Alligood, age 86, a resident of Washington, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the Alligood Family Cemetery, 458 Mill Hole Road, Washington, and will be officiated by Tony Krantz.

Mrs. Alligood was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 22, 1931, to the late Clarence Thomas Alligood and Elsie Woolard Alligood. On Jan. 31, 1949, she married Levin Wallace Alligood. She was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Levin W. Alligood, of the home; three children, Glenn Lane Alligood and wife Mary Lou, of Washington, Magdalene Alligood, of Manteo, Randy Dale Alligood and wife Sheila, of Washington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

She is preceded in death by four brothers.

The family will receive friends at the home.
