Mr. Robert “Bobby” Earl Harris, Sr. passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018.

He was born to Wiley Croom Harris, Sr. and Mildred Hudnell Harris in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 1, 1935.  Bobby was a farmer, supervisor with Cargill Grain Company and later retired as General Manager from Tyson Foods, Inc. Bobby was a member of Slatestone Church of Christ.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nell Allen Harris; one daughter, Dawn Harris Pinkham and husband Larry; one son, Robert Earl Harris, Jr. and wife Amy; four grandchildren, Amanda Pinkham, Nicole Pinkham, Courtney Pinkham Brooks and husband Alan, Credle Allen Harris and wife Victoria; and seven great-grandchildren, Austin Nobles, Chase Nobles, Ashley Nobles, Landon Webb, Alana Ahearn, Brandon Brooks and Wayland Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, James “Jimmy” Allen Harris, Wiley C. Harris, Jr. and Jean Harris.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Hillside Funeral Service, with Sam Woolard officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Larry Pinkham, Alan Brooks, Credle Harris, Austin Nobles, Chase Nobles and Eddie Sulc. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery, Pantego.
