Mr. Donald Hubert “Don” Carrow, Jr., age 78, a native of Beaufort County, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital in Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at St Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery in Bath.

Mr. Carrow was born Washington on Feb. 1, 1940. He was the son of the late Donald Hubert Carrow, Sr. and Audrey Kilby Carrow. Mr. Carrow received his B.S. and master’s degree from East Carolina College (now East Carolina University). He taught in the Virginia Beach schools for 36 years. Mr. Carrow was a member of St Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath. He served as church organist for many years. In his spare time, Mr. Carrow enjoyed playing the organ, photography, working with computers and found great joy in doing anything to help others.

On Aug. 11, 1968, he married the former Jane Alligood, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Carrow is survived by numerous cousins.
