Mrs. Michelle Lynn Swain Cutler, age 52, a resident of Greenville, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at her home.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Steve Hill.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home and other times at the home of Kent Cutler, 8262 N. Boyd Road, Pinetown.

Michelle was born in Beaufort County on June 17, 1966, daughter of Jimmy Carl Swain who survives and the late Beverly Jo George Swain. She was a 1984 graduate of Bath High School and continued her education at East Carolina University, where she completed her master’s degree in psychology. On Aug. 8, 1987, she married Kent Cutler who survives. Michelle worked at Tideland Mental Health of Washington and Walter B. Jones Rehab of Greenville. She loved to read, was very crafty and enjoyed making decorations.

Surviving along with her father, Jimmy, and his wife Patsy, of Washington, and husband Kent, of Pinetown, are three children: Thackory Kent Cutler, Haley Brooke Cutler and Reece Elizabeth Cutler, all of Pinetown; two brothers, Steven Swain and wife Kathy, of Pinetown, and Patrick Swain and wife Amanda, of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Melinda Snipes and husband Ryan, of Sophia, and Janet Seymour and husband Josh, of Greenville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Betty Cutler, of Washington; a brother-in-law, Kevin Cutler and wife Tammy, of Washington; two sisters-in-law, Cathy Boyd and husband Robbie, of Bath, and Karen Jarvis and husband Billy, of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to Woodards Pond Church of Christ, Shine The Light, 9004 US Hwy 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
