Mrs. Reita Gay Woolard Manning, age 68, a resident of Slatestone Road, Washington, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Pastor Travis Boyd. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Manning was born in Beaufort County on April 23, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Lester Plum Woolard and Elsie Earl Lilley Woolard. Mrs. Manning was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her granddaughter.

On December 15, 1974, she married Lloyd “Ray” Manning, who survives.

Surviving with her husband are her son, Christopher Ray Manning and his fiancée, Jillian Mangiafico, of Ft. Benning, Georgia; granddaughter, Cassidy Leigh Manning; and brother, Carl Gene Woolard and his wife, Ann, of Washington.

The family will receive friends at the home.
