Mrs. Cynthia Marie Alves Lawrence, 59, of Morrison Road, Mocksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born July 15, 1959, in San Diego, California, to the late Edward Thomas and Alice Therese Lind Alves. Mrs. Lawrence loved spending time with her horses and being outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Alves and Thomas Alves.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Lawrence, of the home; three children, Daniel Conley (Katie), of Mocksville, Mitchell Lawrence (Rachel), of Lexington, and Alex Lawrence (girlfriend, Kaitlin Plowman), of Mocksville; three grandchildren, Jocelyn and Shyanne Conley and Riley Lawrence; a sister, Laurie Henderson, of Mocksville; three brothers, James Alves, Mark Alves, both, of San Diego, California, and Ken Alves, of Anderson, California; and a sister-in-law, Dottie Alves, of Redding, California.

Services will be held at a later date.
