Deaconess Melba Jarman Hargett, 73, of 642 Elizabeth St., Cove City, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
