Mr. Robert “Rob” Alexander Andrews, Jr., age 36, a resident of Washington died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Andrews was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 13, 1982, to Robert Alexander Andrews, Sr. and Teresa Lynn Smith. He was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 2000. On Oct. 6, 2007, he married Jessica Elaine Tigchelaar. Mr. Andrews worked at PCS as an Acid Plant Operator for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica T. Andrews, of the home; his mother, Teresa Lynn Smith, of Washington; his father, Robert “Buck” Andrews, Sr., of Washington; three sisters, Debra Woolard and husband Lee, of Washington, Tina Prestridge, of Cedar Point, and Trudy Gooding, of Washington; his in-laws, James and Elaine Tigchelaar, of Washington; two sisters-in-law, Jaime Davis and husband Danny, of Wendell, and Erica Lassiter and husband Mike, of Washington; several nieces and nephews, and his fur babies, Max, Molly, and Anabelle.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Please dress casually!

We would like to celebrate Rob’s life by showing our team spirit. Please wear your favorite sports gear. No Yankees, Steelers or Pittsburgh Penguins. (Just kidding!) His favorite teams:

football — Baltimore Ravens; baseball — Boston Red Sox; hockey — Washington Capitals; college football — Alabama (Go Roll Tide); NASCAR.
