Lucille Dorothy Gardner Keltner, 99, of Fort Myers, Florida, former resident of Barrington Terrace, Grand Court, Lake Fairways Golf & Country Club, and Rockford, Illinois, died Nov. 15, 2018, in Cape Coral Hope Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and sisters Louise and Bernice.

Lucille leaves behind two daughters, Doreen Richter (Tom) and Joanne Long (Richard); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Lucille was born June 21, 1919, to William and Grace (Blaize) Gardner in New Baden, Illinois. She married John David Keltner on Oct. 12, 1940. She attended Rockford College and was employed by Chicago Motor Club. Lucille and John retired to Florida in 1982. They enjoyed golf, playing cards and social activities with their communities.

Lucille will be remembered for her kind, gentle nature and love for family and friends.

Private family services were held at Barrington Terrace. The family suggests that memorials may be made to their local hospice or any charitable designation of their choosing.
