Donna Winborne of Hertford, certified public accountant, issued an unqualified opinion on the school system’s financial reports to the Tyrrell County Board of Education on Nov. 5.

An “unqualified opinion” on the system’s fiscal year audit report is the highest level issued.

The auditor thanked Finance Officer Carolyn Simmons, CPA, and staff for their assistance in “completing another successful audit year.”
