Saturday last chance to put out storm debris in unincorporated Beaufort County

From Beaufort County Emergency Services
Beaufort County is asking all residents in the unincorporated areas of Beaufort County to have all storm related debris out by the roadway no later than the end of day on Saturday, Nov. 24. Please do not put any storm debris out after this date. Once crews clear a road across the county after this date, they will not be coming again.
Vegetative debris, construction and demolition debris, appliances, white good debris, electronics and household hazardous waste will be removed from state-maintained right of ways throughout unincorporated Beaufort County. Residents should ensure that all debris is stacked within the right of way, but well off the road to not impede traffic or create unsafe driving conditions.
Storm debris must be divided into separate piles with each pile clear of electrical lines (do not stack debris under electric lines), water meters, hydrants, and mailboxes. Failure to divide debris into separate stacks or placing debris to close to power lines and mailboxes could impede debris pick-up. Please do not put storm debris in trash bags.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this process. If you have any questions in regards to storm debris, you can reach out to us on Facebook under Beaufort County NC Emergency Services, or call 252-946-2040.
