Ms. Evelyn Hostense Basnight, 77, of  312 Second St., Roper, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Prodigy Transitional Rehab ,Tarboro. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church in Roper. Burial followed at Simmon’s Cemetery in Plymouth, with Rev. Dr. James W. Harris officiating. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Home.
