PLYMOUTH — Bonnie Ray “Skeeter” Lilley, 81, of Plymouth died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Born September 25, 1937 in Washington County he was the son of the late Bonnie Madison Lilley and Ida Elizabeth Overton Lilley and was preceded in death by his daughter, Marlyn K. Conner; stepbrother, Ralph “Turk” Overton and stepsister, Cynthia Lee Overton. Skeeter retired with 20 years’ service in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and later retired from manufacturing as a machine operator.

His family includes his wife, Sarah Gay Lilley of Plymouth; daughters, Bonnie Faye Lilley of Bluffton, S.C. and Michelle Lee Lilley of Ridgeland, S.C.; sister, Ann Lilley Bartholomew and husband Wayne of Raleigh and step-sister, Linda Overton Lee of Vanceboro; grandchildren, Joshua Wright and Madison Chapman; great grandchildren, Andria, Anthony and Hayden.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
