Mrs. Allene Holadia Rackley, age 84, a native of Aurora, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at Whitestone Eastern Star and Masonic Home in Greensboro. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at Sandy Grove Cemetery in Aurora, conducted by Pastor Eric Hill.

Mrs. Rackley was born in Aurora on July 12, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Allen Albert Holadia and Ruth Rowe Holadia. She graduated from the Carolina School of Commerce in Rocky Mount. Mrs. Rackley was a legal secretary for many years and retired from Carolina Telephone/Sprint. She was very active in Eastern Star and met many friends through her travels. She attended First Baptist Church in Tarboro. Later, Mrs. Rackley served as church librarian at Guilford Baptist Church in Greensboro.

Mrs. Rackley is survived by her ex-husband: Dalton Rackley of Nashville, N.C.; son: Allen Rackley of Belhaven and his daughters: Tabatha and Tiffany; daughter: Sandra Rackley Radford of Nashville, N.C. and her children: Heather, Jennifer and Durwood (Woody); eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
