OLD FORD — ACCEPT and EXCEL rang in the holidays in grand style during a Christmas party, complete with Santa Claus as special guest.

The event was held Dec. 8 in the Old Ford Church of Christ Family Life Center. The groups’ aim is to try to host a special event once a month, according to ACCEPT founder Allison Crisp.

“But this is our first family and friends Christmas party,” Crisp noted. “This is just so families can make memories.”

ACCEPT and EXCEL serve “exceptionally unique children” between 2 and 18 years of age, Crisp added.

The holiday gathering included games, cookie walk, music, refreshments and visits with ole Santa himself.

Activities won’t end with the holiday season.

“We try to have a monthly fun day, usually at Athletic Edge in Washington,” Crisp said. “And we’re planning on going to the Old Ford Rodeo in February.”
