From the same folks who bring “Monsters on Main,” to life each year, a spooky take on Christmas will be returning to 520 E. Main St. Friday evening. At the home of Riley and Raven Simpson, the mother-daughter duo, accompanied by Jonathan Clayborne, will present “A Nightmare on Main.” Delving into the darker corners of European folklore, this year’s performance will focus on the mythical figure Krampus, a European counterpart to St. Nicholas who was believed to punish naughty children at Christmas time. The spooky show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. and is free to the public. “It’s basically our Christmas gift to the community,” Riley Simpson said.
