Jordan Davis, 32, took the oath as a Tyrrell County commissioner on Dec. 3, succeeding fellow Republican Leroy Spivey. Davis, a family farmer based on Bodwell Road south of Columbia, has pledged to “work hard to find solutions” to an eroding tax base and severe drainage and flooding issues “as well as other challenges we might face.”
