Jeannette Gallihugh Lowe-Johnson, 64, of 163 Water Front Road, Columbia, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, December 21, 2018.

Born in the District of Columbia, January 24, 1954, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Bernice Regenia Stallings Gallihugh.  She was married to George S. Johnson who preceded her in death this past July.

She worked as a real estate broker in Virginia prior to moving to Columbia where she and her late husband owned and operated The Lunch Box for several years.  They also operated J & J Marina at Taylor’s Beach.  She was an avid animal lover.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Columbia Chapel of Bryan Funeral Service.  Steve Bryan will officiate.

Surviving are two brothers, Jeff Gallihugh of Indonesia and John Craig Gallihugh and wife, Diana of Hudson, Florida; a sister, Jennifer G. Helms and husband, Ronald of Columbia; three nephews, William Edward Helms and wife, Cheryl of Columbia, Thomas Irvin Helms and wife, Elizabeth of Como NC and John Thomas Gallihugh of Tampa, FL; a niece, Elizabeth Gallihugh of Ashburn, VA; four step-sons, Alan Johnson and wife, Cathy of Virginia Beach, VA, David Johnson and wife, Samantha of Moyock, Joey Johnson and wife, Shirley of Knotts Island and Gary Johnson and wife, Carla of Columbia.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to Tyrrell County Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 45, Columbia NC 27925.
