On Common Grounds, the Sunday community coffee house supporting local non-profits kicks off four weekends this month starting this Sunday, Jan. 6. The Contemporary Art Exchange and Pamlico Rose Institute host On Common Grounds to bring people together to share coffee and the experience of community while supporting those less fortunate. Eagles Wing’s Food Pantry is the featured non-profit for this Sunday’s On Common Grounds. A menu of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and pastries will be available. All is free, but donations are gratefully accepted, and all go to the non-profit of the day.
The schedule for January’s On Common Grounds includes the non-profits Pamlico Rose on Jan. 13, Open Door Community Center on Jan. 20, and to close out the month, the Jan. 27 edition of On Common Grounds will support the Beaufort County Veterans Stand-down occurring on Feb. 15. The Stand-down is a one-day event that serves homeless and in-need Veterans in Beaufort and counties east and includes providing health related services, counseling, clothes, and other items, hygiene products and a warm meal.
On Common Grounds is being supported by The Contemporary Art Exchange, Pamlico Rose, Blackbeard Coffee Roasters, Grubb Brothers, Secret Garden, Carryout by Chrislyn and Thrivent.
