Rani Jonelle Deaner Beasley, 71, of the Ponzer community, died unexpectedly, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at her residence.

Rani was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, Aug. 13, 1947, to the late Frank and Anita Williams Deaner, and she was married to Clyde Beasley, who survives.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ, worked as a Computer Analyst for the U.S. Navy until her retirement, was a member of the Ponzer Ruritan Club, Ponzer Volunteer Fire Department and dedicated five years to the Hyde County Board of Elections by working at the polls.

Rani loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In addition to her husband, surviving are two sons, Jeff Graves, of Tampa, Florida, and Christopher Graves, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a stepson, Clyde Thomas Beasley, of Greenville; two sisters, Anita Williams, of Bradenton, Florida, and Monica Bland, of Sanford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
