Comedy, comedy, comedy at the Turnage

The Arts of the Pamlico at the historic Turnage Theatre kicks off a series of new, tried and true comedy acts for your enjoyment Friday.

Tonight, Jake Weddle & Friends perform in the Turnage Gallery starting at 8 p.m., after the first Harbor District Art Walk in 2019, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 cash/check at the door. There is limited seating and tickets are for sale by phone or at the Turnage Theatre.

I.C. Improv returns to offer a fun, engaging performance on Feb. 23, starting at 7 p.m. in the Art Café’. Tickets are $5 cash/check at the door, and doors open at 6 p.m.

Don’t miss the return of Washington Comedy Fest! It’s a laugh feast in the east! Seriously funny comedians from across North Carolina will perform stand up and improv comedy on March 9 at the Turnage.

The Washington Comedy Fest includes:

  • Comedy workshops from 2 to 4 p.m., $10 each. Workshops include Improv (2-3 p.m.) and Stand Up (3-4 p.m.)comedy workshops with William White and Jake Weddle. Register and pay by stopping by the theatre or call 252-946-2504 to reserve your spot.
  • Family friendly comedy will be performed in the gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Adult (18 years and up) comedy will be performed in the gallery from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
  • Live music will fill the air in between sets.
  • Concessions including pizza, wine, beer, soft drinks and desserts will be for sale.

Only 100 tickets will be sold! Tickets are $7 or $5 cash discount per person for Family Comedy and $12 or $10 cash discount per person for Adult Comedy.
